Schools across Australia can now access the OurFutures Vaping Prevention Program at no cost, thanks to funding from the Australian Government.
Developed by The Matilda Centre for Research in Mental Health and Substance Use at the University of Sydney, this evidence-based program is designed to help Year 7 and 8 students build the knowledge and decision-making skills needed to prevent vaping.
The program features four interactive digital lessons that use relatable storylines and realistic scenarios to engage students in meaningful learning. Best of all, the lessons are fully aligned to the PDHPE curriculum, require no teacher preparation, and are ready to be incorporated into your teaching program.
Research has shown the program is clinically proven to reduce the likelihood of students vaping by 65% compared to standard health education, making it a valuable addition to any school’s health education strategy.
