Term Three is exam season for Stage 6 and the PDHPE TA produced Trial Higher School Certificate and Preliminary exam packages in both PDHPE and CAFS. These included the examination paper, mapping grid, marking criteria with full sample answers along with a stringent security period notice
to maintain exam integrity.
The process of producing these exam packages commenced in February with appointments of exam writers to exam teams. Each team works under the guidance of experienced exam coordinators who collate the papers. They are then assessed internally by me as the Vice President of the Association and an external assessor to ensure delivery of four high quality examinations for the benefit of our members to utilise within their schools. We see this a fantastic example of members producing for the benefit of other members. This year the exam packages were released for our financial members
via our newly constructed website.
This project is an enormous undertaking, and I would like to thank the 2024 external assessor and exam coordinators I have called on to help in the process for their input to strengthen the process and thus the outcome that was achieved.
The writing and preparation of these examinations is a great professional opportunity that financial members for 2025 can apply for. Expressions of interest for selection to writing teams will be released in February 2025. Have you renewed your membership for 2025? NB/ PDHPE TA runs for
the financial year (June to June) so your 2024 membership is now expired unless you attended this year’s conference in beautiful Ballina on the north coast in October or have renewed recently.
